Late night shifts are worse. Try doing a couple of ten pm to six am shifts over a weekend and maybe getting four hours of sleep in between. :(

It's amazing that under the stress and lack of sleep if the brain can still function.

I've only rarely done late night shifts (inventory shifts during my retail days), and they ARE hell. I don't envy anyone having to do them on a regular basis.
