Part 4 of 6 2002 Bolshoi Ballet School Graduation Magic Flute Osipova Bogdanovich Abdullin

The music is by the prolific 19th century composer, Ricardo Drigo, who was famous for the music of many Russian ballets This is not the famous opera music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart used in The Magic Flute opera. Ricardo Drigo was the musical director of the Mariinsky Theatre for many years and created many famous ballets choreographed by Marius Petipa. His Magic Flute premiered on the Mariinsky stage in 1993 with 3 future famous school children performing, Anna Pavlova, Vaslav Nijinsky and Mikhail Fokine.
This was the opening night 2002 Bolshoi Ballet School graduation performance of The Magic Flute. The leading couple in this performance is current Bolshoi Ballet corps de ballet ballerina, Maria Bogdanovich, and Maxim Afanasiev, who is not in the Bolshoi Ballet. The secondary couple was Viktoria Osipova, current Bolshoi Ballet soloist, and Karim Abdullin, current Bolshoi Ballet corps de ballet dancer.
The second cast for the next performance would have been the video to have with current stars, Ekaterina Krisanova in the lead and Natalia Osipova in the secondary role. The third cast lead was current soloist, Anastasia Stashkevich.
