I met Lee at a gig in Walsall in about 1991, he was a great bloke, we talked for about 15 mins, and he did me a request, Riot in Cell Block No9, which was great as I was a fan since the early days, which he reckoned they hadnt played for ages. A real great bloke, and not a bighead.

I remember Lee died around the same time as Kurt Cobain, i was more sorry to see Lee go!

Mmm I saw them in dumfermline years ago They were just amazing. Its the only gig ive been to where dancing was the thing. The girls were going crazy and it was just fantastic

It wasn't Gordon Russell at all, rather Steve Walwyn, who replaced him a couple of years before.

It's Steve Walwyn of course, not Gordon. Phil re-joined the band - can't remember the exact year, but I had a post-gig talk with him in Finland circa 1996 when Pete Gage was in vocals.

I have delved into my archive and according to newslatters and gig sheets the following is correct. The date of transmission of this recording is 14th November 1991.
The item was recorded at the back end of 1990. Primo was recorded in January 1991, Phils last gig with the band was 1st March 1991 in Japan, He didnt play on all the Primo album because he knew he was leaving. Phil rejoined Dr Feelgood when the reformed in 1995.
