Too much harassment by the house sparrow and they left...though i seen them once in awhile.

HOSPS are baby bird killers and I hate them.

Yes this is remarkable... I had a similar experience.. By the way are these the normal house sparrows that are fairly common that attacked the babies.. The sparrows that live in UK are fairly small about the size of a dunnock.. Strange such small birds attacked the chicks..

Yes House Sparrows, they're very aggressive.

They were imported from Europe in the 1800's.
