  • @fliegie12 probably not. I'm sure it's from cool air rushing back into the pipe as you reduce the exhaust velocity... the same concept as thunder in the sky... what happens when hot air and cold air contact quickly? HmmMM..

  • how much did it cost to change from stock to the way it is now.

  • @fdp2k3 fanblades??

  • Man I got a 97 F150 with the 4.6 engine. Its got flowmasters on it, dude, and it sounds just like this. My truck sounds better than almost any truck you could put next to it. And I got a huge fanblade on it, so it kicks up little dust devils on both sides of it when I crank her up :D

  • thats what a back fire is... unburnt fuel being ignited in the exhaust.

  • Hey we got the same truck! Lol nah, I got an 02 f150 with the 4.6 just like you but I have different exhaust. Just completely redid the entire thing from headers to tips and it sounds badass!

  • what type of flowmaster is this i would love to no.....original 40?

  • twchnically thats not a back fire...its an after fire...unburnt fuel burning in the exhaust

  • damn, I gotta have it, it's like sex
