MARTHA MACCALLUM: Acorn - big scandal that we've been talking about and shedding some light on for you and it's all about voter fraud [...].

TRACE GALLAGHER: It's all about voter fraud. [...] you said that you sent this letter to both the Obama camp as well as the DNC and it's been cricket, cricket. You've gotten no response.

JOHN DANFORTH: No response at all and it's not just the letter. We've tried a sort of back channel also to reach the Obama campaign in a good faith effort to see if the two campaigns together can work out together election problems so that the American people can be assured that we will have a fair election.

GALLAGHER: [I]t's a stretch to go right from voter registration fraud to voter fraud. Do you think there is a true potential for actual voter fraud and a lot of it, come election day?

DANFORTH: I hope not, but when you crowd the whole system, it certainly clogs up the system. So it makes it very difficult, in the case of absentee ballots, where voter IDs are not provided for to make sure that the people are who they claim to be.
