SFPD Protects Israel Haters, Harasses Pro-Israel activists 1

June 1st 2008 was Israel in the Garden in San Francisco. As is the case every year, the SFPD bent over backwards to facilitate anti-Israel protests while denying any equivalent rights to pro-Israel activists.

Captain Balmy, Star 12, of the SFPD refuses to keep anti-Israel protestors away from Israel in the Gardens but pro-Israel activists are always kept away from anti-Israel rallies.

I had a cop lie about me when I was counterprotesting people in favor of illegal immigration. I am not sure if he objected to my message, (looked Hispanic but his name did not seem so ??) or if he just wanted to keep people who might fight apart. Most likely, the cops are not anti-Israel, just wanting to prevent violence.
