Director: Nicole Riches
Album: Act of Free Choice (2000)

Stand out track - slight quirk to the rhythm. Classic Bridie. He still plays it live today.

This clip was never aired on television and has never been released.

  • I'm from Canada and I only heard about his music a bit ago. It's so beautiful to listen to. I could listen to it all the time.

  • Dunno about this one - it is my favourite song from that album, but given that there is a story to that song which David Bridie has related at gigs, the quite different approach in the vidoe rubs up against what I imagine when I listen to the song.

  • I only wish I had discovered David Bridie earlier.

  • Since I posted my post last year, I've listened to a lot more of David's music. I have some stuff by My Friend The Chocolate Cake and Not Drowning Waving as well. David's music is outstanding.

  • Hey Mate

Look it up on google.. but the first album by "My Friend the Chocolate Cake" will blow you away. Buy it and listen. David Bridie was the man behind that band. "Not Drowning Waving" is also another really good band with Bridie involved. He did a cool album with Papua New Guinean native people at some point (in my youth).

  • Arson? Thats so fricking uncool. Lock him up

  • Absolutely gorgeous.

  • Hey! Great story; sounds very Bridie - thoughtful ideas, challenged "traditionally"..

  • Few years ago now, but I think it was something like this - he was on a trip out in the desert - spinifex country and was thinking about traditional burning of country and decided to try it out. Crackling spinifex and then suddenly out of no-where rangers appeared and had some words. That's my recollection of the story anyway.
