my pop is actually full Scottish and he came to settle in Australia when he was very young and married my granny.. My pop used to have red hair, which captian kidd had and he was the only person between him and captian kidd with red hair which i found intresting. we have this book in the family called "the black book" and it's a private book which has all the generations in it, which captian kidd is in. :)

This movie basically ruined Laughtons' career, as he was forever typecast as "Captain Kidd".
