This clip is from Mark Burda's 1992 MA Thesis for Governor's State University. It was shot at the Old Town School of Folk Music's "Making of the 5-String Banjo" exhibit in 1989. Mark, please get in touch.
i'm so glad you did this for your powerpoint presentation, daughter of paul! i am the banjo maker's wife. his vision for all the instruments he made was that they be played, not be hanging on a wall somewhere. he worried about the instruments that went to museums for that reason. so it makes me so happy to see this instrument, and especially to see it in action! thank you for posting it.
where can i see the entire piece?
