@ahsans786 People have been running alot longer than shoes have been around, leather, bark sandals have been around alot longer, and people had healthier feet thousands of years ago, but Gluten, sugar and dairy was unknown to these people, thats why they were so healthy!

but the original sandals are made from tires the rest of them are copies and am from chihuahua were the tarahumaras arefrom

@bukito74 Hahahaha. Actually the original (depending on how you want to define that) are NOT tires...how silly. The classics tend to be animal hide, like deer. Or, in some tribes in the Southwest, woven yucca. But there are many different ones that developed over time. I think the tire is the worst one yet, but it last long. It really is too thick and heavy compared to the real traditional ones.

Its not the sandals that prevent injury, its the way you run. If you just stay off your heel and use your foot muscles and calf muscle as shock absorbers, then you never get any joint or bone injury. I hear the first couple weeks of training are rough, but after that, a short jog becomes like 20 miles

Like everything, start slow and build up. Foot strength comes from use. If you keep you foot in a cast all the time and always supported, it ain't gonna get strong.
