Thank you for posting! Am considering the PocketDolly but so far the only option for vertical slides as presented on their website seems quite expensive.
So I am upgrading my sticks and you recommend the 535C. Am considering the slightly less expensive but more versatile 055C but with a load capacity of only 17.6 lbs (8kg) compared with 44lbs for the 535. This is still under the combined weight of the PD +DSLR-lens combo....would you have any idea if it would work?
Thanks again.

@jbach I'm not sure. The 229 Head weights over 4lbs, the ball head (on slider carriage) is about 1lbs. Add the slider which is over 7lbs and it totals over 12lbs without camera and lens. That's cutting it close. I don't imagine the 055C Neck would be able to extend effectively, but that is just my guess.
If you do pull the trigger on this set up I would like to know how it tests. Thank you.

Didn't Kessler Crane post a how-to on this a year ago?

@actionthatsucks Kessler certainly did exactly that, for the CineSlider I believe. A year or so seems right. I saw their video for the first time just recently. It's understandable that someone could forget they saw the video, it was somewhat mundane in my opinion. It might be interesting to note that the gear they used was about 3-4 times heavier, and 10 times more expensive than my set up.
