I sang this song my junior year in high school. I love this song still. :)

Just heard this song at my students recital and I love it. I think that he did a good job. The runs and falls were a bit over used in places, but I love the contemporary spin on such a great folk song. We must think outside of the box and this artist did. Remember Areatha Franklin's Nessun Dorma at the Grammy's? I think the singer might want to stick to his style and approach to the piece but be particular in the placement of the riffs. U GO BOI!!!!

@xdragoox This is a Classical song, In classical style, I sang this song every year for four years, as both a full choir and a solo, It is a classical song, It is stylistically ment to be carried out as such, that's how the composer wrote it.

@kasinecz I totally agree that he's not singing the written vocal melody.
But this is not a "classical song."
This is a contemporary inspirational pop song.
I hate it when people just randomly assign everything that has voice and piano into the "classical" category.
Andrea Bocceli is not an opera singer for god sakes!
He does not sing any operas, he's just a pop singer.

@SafetySmartbiz He shouldn't sing Classical Music If he isn't a classical vocalist. There are many ways to sing, But only one way to do it right. It doesn't mean if it's wrong it isn't pretty, but he shouldn't sing homeward bound. This is a classical song, and a classical vocalist should sing it.
i hope you rise high tony you desrve it i love your music your sound its just so beautiful

I like the way you put your own twist to the song.
