When I was a kid I was hugely into Kids Inc before I got into 'real' music. Then, as a late teen and for many years afterwards I have been very into Rocky Horror...to the point of it bring me to meet a husband. This clash of those worlds is so very very painful. This just shouldn't have happened.

Wow...loved this show when I was a kid, still have a lot of affection for it...but my God, this was a *stunningly* inappropriate choice for kids to sing.

Where producers of kids pop groups like this just take a random hit song , with the kids thinking it's original.

This is all to lower costs , effort and to catch attention of the parents who remeber the orignial song , to boost sales.

And sometimes it gets altered , sometimes slightly or sometimes major changes (like here).
