This rock slide happened about 25 minutes from my house. I am through that area all the time. I live in Cleveland TN and this happend in the Ocoee river gorge in Polk County TN. Interesting fact about the area that this happened, The 1996 Olympic whitewhater kayaking events took place here. People in Copperhill TN will now have to travel way out of their way to get to Cleveland which is only about 35 to 40 minutes away from them. Its now maybe 2 hours across a dirt road to get to Cleveland.
