Anna: "He really likes pushing you back against your locker?"
Asia: "Haha, wow Anna, good analysis."
Makayla: "Are you guys super duper pumped for tonight!?"
Pieper: "Hell yeah!"
Liane: "Man, we are so going to whoop their butts!"
Me: "Dude! I know!"
Asia: "Go Panthers!"
Me: "Dude, I am so excited!"
Makayla: "We should get Imac to sign our shirts after the game!"
Liane: "Haha yeah!"
Pieper:"He can sign me arm!"
Me: "Haha, oh Pieper."
We wished Imac luck before the game. We got kicked out of the gym because the two teams had to warm up. We hung outside wand waited for the huge crowd to walk in before we did. Parker and I walked in and I could literally feel the ground shaking. The crowd was going crazy, wow, I could just imagine how nervous the team was, how nervous Imac was. We sat there waiting for the game to start.
Asia: "Ew look at the other school, they fail."
Makayla: "Ick, I know."
Anna: "That guys hot."
Me: "Hes pretty cute."
Parker: "Excuse me?"
Me: "Your way sexier though."
Pieper: "Ew look at her clothes!"
Liane: "That is the most disgusting outfit I have ever seen!"
Ian: "I know! The colors don't match!"
Me: "Ha, Ian."
Anna: "Ew, I hate those shoes!"
Frankie: "I know there so last season!"
Anna: "I know right!?"
Jordan: "Why are we totally trashing the other teams outfits?"
Me: "Because, they're our rivals?"
Jordan: "So?..."
Me: "But come on you have to admit they look pretty bad."
Parker: "But that girls kind of cute."
Me: "PARKER!"
Parker: "I said kind of!"
Me: "PARKER!"
Parker: "But you'll always be the cutest."
Makayla: "Ha, nice save."
Ian: "Man, I want food."
Liane: "Ian we just ate?"
Frankie: "I want nachos."
Pieper: "How could you think about food, I am so full!"
Ian: "Well, we're not."
Anna: "Oh look here come the teams!"
We screamed at the top of our lungs! I can tell that the pep talk was good because none of them looked nervous, only pumped. By half time it was tied, 25-25. It sure wasn't like a soccer game where if anything were this close, it'd be tied 0-0. It was down to the last quarter and it was still tied. Everyone in the crowd looked so intense. I swear, I was loosing my voice, and so was everyone else. There was one minute left, Panther ball. With only two seconds left Imac shot a three. "IT'S IN!" The announcer yelled, "PANTHERS WIN!" Before the team could even hug Imac, the 10 of us did. Everyone was crowded around Imac. Josh picked him up on his shoulders. The crowd was going crazy, but the other team was crying. Imac was a nice guy, he went over to the other team, "Good game. Maybe we'll play again next year." The other team smiled. We all decided to walk over to Imac's for the after party. Imac lived right by the cliff. The 11 of us were standing right by the cliff looking out at the ocean.
Frankie: "Best friends for life?"
Me: "Of course."
This moment was one of those special friendship moments, the one you cherish. I think that Imac's major game really brought us together.
Me: "You know what I want to do?"
Ian: "What?"
I looked over at Pieper and Makayla. They knew what I was talking about. But they wouldn't think I would do it. I stood up and stood right by the edge of the cliff. The night breeze, the moonlight, and smell of ocean water. And I jumped off. I was a diver, so I did a flip and dove in.
Liane: "ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
Me: "I guess you could say that!"
Before I knew it we were all in the water. It was freezing so we ran out and ran to Imac's house. We all got cleaned off and dried. "Ladies first," Anna said. We got dried off and ready while the boys played video games. While the boys were getting dried off, we helping his mom get everything ready. The whole school was practically in Imac's backyard. Imac's mom always made the best cake. Parker took me home. He walked me to my door and kissed me on my cheek. "I love you," I told him as he was walking away. He turned around and walked back, "I love you to," and planted one on my lips. The next morning, our school was on the front cover. Now we weren't exactly in L.A., we were a little town outside of it so this was big news. But actually the highlight of my night wasn't the game, or the kiss Parker gave me, it was when we were all by the cliff. I have had a lot of best friends, and each of our friendships had failed. Fallen and crahsed and burned. But for some reason, this friendship felt so different...
