One of the greatest carchases of all time. Eight minutes of thrills with two car chasing each other, trying to push each other off the road. Crashes and a big big jump.

Movie was released in 1976

  • Cool. Now I know the movie they used for that Geico commercial.

  • in real this Mustang wouldn't have any chance with GS, because GS had over 350 engine.

    There's mistake in the scenes:

    4:04 - Buick hasn't any headlights, 4:11 - they magically appear.

  • film tournée dans les rues de Montréal.

That Mustang might not even be that muscular. Many, even fastbacks were made with really boring motors.

Haha, right, so funny to see people mistake movies for documentaries.

  • I don't really think any car could take that punishment , they had to use several cars

  • That's either a Mach-1 or a boss mustang. Maybe the winser 302 or it could be a 289.

  • Also, at 1:12, only three brake lights are showing. For pretty much of the rest of the clip you can see all four. The roll bars are well hidden.

  • The Mustang is likely a '71 Sportsroof . That body style ran from '71 to '73. The '73 front bumper was slightly different. The '73's also had chrome trim around the tail lights. This one's trim is black making it either a '71 or ' 72. The '72's had "Mustang" in a script styling over the right tail light missing from this car. The '71's had either block letters or a block decal running across the deck lip. Best guess on the engine would be 351-4V, probably not a 429.
