Pedal Powered Salad Spinner

A bicycle is mounted on a metal frame next to a top-loading washing machine. The rear wheel sits on top of a wooden roller that is connected to a shaft that then runs under the washing machine. It then changes 90 degrees through a drill chuck and attaches to the existing motor shaft. This then turns the drum inside the washing machine. Washed salad greens are placed inside a mesh laundry bag and placed in the drum. When the pedals are operated the drum spins at a high speed and pulls the water off the greens. The water then flows out of the machine and onto the ground below the bike frame. The greens are then dry and ready to be bagged and sold. This operation processes up to 100 pounds of salad greens a week.

Wow! I agree with rynorth on the cat drying...maybe a monthly load test with a cat? And who's that guy on the bike? He's got some nice boots for how funny lookin' he is....don't let him do his kid's laundry in that thing first! It's definitely a winner!
