I loved Gene's comment regarding this film on the "Worst of" segment for the year - "I can't even remember what Krull was, it sounds like a dessert!".
Good ol' Gene :)

No it wasn't, think about it we had movies like alien, star wars, empire strike back, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Tron. These movies had impressive visual effects for their time.

@VitoPossilipo reply. All the best from Berlin!
P.S.: I like your channel photo.

@Tessmage Thank you for your reply. No, I don´t want to become more "sophisticated" in my tastes, what ever you mean by that. I rather love exciting, adventurous movies that inspire my imagination than for example boring but sophisticated movies like "Citizen Kane" or disgusting misanthropic, but sophisticated ordeals like "The Tin Drum".
And I don´t understand what´s supposed to be more sophisticated about a movie like "Star Wars" than the much more original "Krull".
Looking forward to your

Become more sophisticated with your tastes, perhaps..?

@VitoPossilipo "insults", of course.

I love this movie and it offends me when someone insult it (especially when he hasn´t got proper arguments like these two fantasy lacking squares). What can I do about this problem?

And poor Lysette Anthony; not only does she have to act through some of the porrest conceived scenes, they producers dubbed over her voice with Lindsay Crouse.

@SanitariumLXIX Absolutely. I still like to watch the end credits (not the rest of the film), just so I can hear that music again, and try to imagine the better film it might have been the perfect capper for.
-
The only thing I really liked about Krull was James Horner's score.

@VitoPossilipo Sorry, I´ve meant "virtues", not "values". English isn´t my mother tongue. I´m German.

@VitoPossilipo So what! Since when are movies destroyed by such details? What about all the adventure, action, fantasy and atmosphere of this movie and it´s unique, creepy designs, not to mention the virtuosic direction of the kudos director (can you say that in English?) Peter Yates?
And by the way: Classic Hollywood classics are full of gigantic plot holes. But no critic seems to be disturbed by them.
how dare he talk shit about "Dragon Slayer"!!!

I don't quite understand his comment about Dragonslayer, because if I'm not mistaken, he gave a favorable review. I'm pretty sure you can find his review on his website.
