  • Hi Steve great show, when will you be reviewing the Nokia n900 and do you think its the current world's highhest spec power mobile? Is it better than Omnia hd? Will you be covering the new 2010 Samsung 1ghz mobiles? Thanks Steve!

  • N900 in a month or so. Yes, better than the Omnia HD for some things. All things come to he who waits!!

  • Steve, always a fan. I've been using the the n97. But I find myself drawn to palms new webos and will most likely get a palm. My biggest gripe about nokia is the lack of thredded messaging. Nokia makes great communication devices, but the software contradicts that philosophy. I'm sick and tired of opening each sms seperately. Do you know of any upcoming update that will allow thredded messaging? The awful conversation beta still requires you to open each sms sperately and is not well integrated.

  • haven't heard of anything definite. But can't say I've ever wanted threaded messaging.... I rather like having SMS in a big time-sorted list.

  • Are you going to do a review of the Sony Ericsson Satio? Should knock the socks off the N 86 when it comes to photo quality: 12 mega pixels, touch screen, and both double led and xenon flash!

  • Yes, as and when the device appears. Why is 12mp better than 8mp though? The sensor will be the same size, it's only a marketing gimmick to increase the mp count... [FX: mutters] Xenon looks good though, like the look of that! Battery life of the Satio is appalling though, apparently.

  • Great show again Steve. Just a suggestion, you may encourage more people to donate if you showed their names on the credits of each show.

  • 7.17 ..it's not winter yet Steve!!

  • The suggested words feature when typing *can* help with names and web addresses. You can add to the word dictionary, just like any other predictive text engine. Also, on typing URLs into the browser you get good auto-suggest options from Google and you browser history.

For passwords, the browser can remember web passwords if you want it to (just like a desktop browser).

  • Not quite *everything* with ease, surely? What about Bluetoothing a photo to a friend's phone? Or listening to Internet Radio in the background? Etc etc. The iPhone is still one of the most limited of smartphones, despite its superb UI, games and (now) camera.

  • hey steve congratulation for the getting the sponsorship for the phone show...hurray

  • Actually, it's easy. After several years trying touch screen pretenders like the Hero, Storm, WM and resisting the iphone, I finally plumped for the 3GS last week. All I can say is 'do believe the hype'. Despite a few limitations it does everything with such ease and is so well supported, my advice now is that it's a no brainer frankly.
