This is the official US release of "Alice and the Mystery of the Third Planet" from Mikhail Baryshnikov's "Tales from my Childhood" series. This was featured on PBS in the late 90's and features James Belushi. Kirsten Dunst, and Harvey Fierstein. The music score isn't as good as the original Russian version, but this is a much better edit than the Dollar Store version and tells the story much better. Mystery of the Third Planet is based on the book by Russian sci-fi author Kir Bulichov

There was no such teasing ("Big baby") in the original, the same for those pig-like sounds of the pirate... Do americans find it funny? Soviet version is more... serious. The atmosphere is different.
