Ooops ... who coached these bowlers? NEVER NEVER NEVER walk backwards on a bowling green. Step forward after delivering your bowl, pause and watch bowl come to rest then turn and walk FORWARD to the back of the mat thus avoiding falling over bowls on rink. The step forward also ensures you have weight on front foot when releasing the bowl which improves delivery consistency.
