View from Pylon #3 - Reno National Championship Air Races 2009 - * My Dad and I fulfilled a dream and a promise of ours to finally attend the Reno Air Races together for both of our first time. We weren't disappointed as we had wonderful family friends who ensured we experienced the best of the best. We were provided the rare opportunity to witness a final unlimited category race on Sunday from a PYLON!!! The roar of these vintage WWII planes was deafening as they passed within feet of us at speeds approaching 500mph. The Pylon with my Dad was a Reno highlight and a memory I'll forever cherish.

I've never been to the Reno Airraces, but it's on the list for my next overseas trip for sure :-)
Aslo like the Beaver Alaska flying, I can only dream of going there.

I am so jealous, I'm 23 and have gone since 6th grade every year and it's the one thing I look forward to every year. This is truly the greatest sport on earth. Appreciate this rare video opportunity a lot.

Beautiful sound. I had cams inside and outside #25, Polar Bear. Have any footage of Polar Bear from the pylon? Trade video?
