Every once in a while a great product comes around, but unfortunately will have a weak part that occasionally causes it not to work correctly. This has happened to the OASE Pondovac 4. Although in making the Pondovac 4 with greater suction power and enhancing other parts of the pond vacuum they didn't install a sturdier flap to accommodate the stronger suction the Pondovac 4 offers. When one chamber is full, the unit switches the incoming flow of water to the second chamber, when this happens the flap closes off the empty chamber so the full chamber can discharge. However with the increased suction power the flap will occasionally get stuck in one of the chambers causing the Pondovac 4 not to work properly. This is a video on how to replace the flap with a sturdier one.
