Sen. Lindsey Graham suggests that the Senate will not let America "go down the government-run health care road", while Sen. Chris Dodd explains why it "isn't socialized medicine" and if not passed, the country will be "bankrupt."

  • @ch473 WHY IN THE HELL IF YOU ARE TIRED MOVE YOUR ASS TO SOME PLACE ELSE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH.

  • How about the government run healthcare plan called Medicare? Ask the seniors if they would like to scrap that plan as well..!! These republicans are simply in favor of the rich and they will do anything possible to keep the middle class bearing the brunt of all expenses and reaping the fewest rewards..!! They say that the government should stay out of our lives. However they think the government should dictate morality. It is under republican leadership that we have got such problems! GOP, NAH!

  • Graham doesn't seem to get it that it's the money people who are making the decisions about who gets what anyway.

  • It also works for Veterans, Congressmen, Senators, and senior citizens, and the disabled, all of who have government run health care.

  • Someone should tell Dodd that it doesn't count as competition unless it is possible for all sides to fail. For that reason, a public option precludes the possibility of real competition and will do nothing to bring costs down. Indeed, costs would likely go up while quality suffers as a result of a public option. Economics is a science; there is empirical evidence pertinent to this issue to which any honest commentary must pay deference.
