Ocean Apart - original jazz bebop song by Geoff Peters (piano)

I play a new jazz bebop tune I wrote called Ocean Apart. I wrote it last summer when taking a composition class with New York jazz pianist Misha Piatigorsky at the Victoria Conservatory Jazz Workshop. It was actually an exercise for the class. Misha gave us the chords and asked us to write a melody on top. I think the chords are really cool, and they are fun to solo over.

Nice, very lounge like. Loved the transition into the faster section. The song kind of reminds me of one of those old 50's detective movies.
