I need help on the computer i do a system restore but the numbers aren't bold and i can't change to a different month omg my computer is so messed up right now what do i do?

my pc had a big virus i have to start it i safe mod then i done everythink to work it again but nothing works i think system restore will work. it is like a computer time machine !!

@ZurkronTheDestroyer then open Task Manager and open a new process called Explorer.exe

@joboikickme , yes you can restore at a date when the games were not corrupted. You can do the restores as many times as you want

Just wonder, once you've initiated it, does it stay on the 'Windows is shutting down' for a while?
Just wondering, trying to do a restore right now and that's what's happening.

for some reason no matter what date i pick, after i log onto my uer accout on XP after the restore, it says there was an error and i cant restore my pc to that date, any suggestions anyone?

that sort of problem happen when the backup files of system restore are corrupted due to some reason. The only way to get out of the situation is to delete all previous backup points. You can do that bu turning Off system restore, and then Turning it back On
