I was stationed at Vinh Long '70 -'71 in the 114th AHC

I met up with some of the 114th guys in DC in April. We were there withe the Gathering of Eagles.

Same thing Tet 69, except then it was mostly at the open air market down by lan chau restaurant, the water plant, the buildings by the monument in the traffic circle. Lots of civilians used as shields.

I was there in 1970 for 7 months with Swamp Fox. We were hit about 3 times by the VC but

I think the boys during the Tet offensive inflicted enough heavy damage on the attackers in 68 which made them rethink. Staff Sargent told me it was his second time and showed us how far back they were pushed before regaining control. Lots of memories. Thanks for the film.

I flew to Vinh Long. With the 128th Assault Helicopter Co. The Tomahawks were our slicks. The Gunslingers were the Gunships. We did missions together, with the Cobras. Miles and miles of nothing but rivers and rice paddys down in Vinh Long.

I served at Vinh Long Army Airfield dec69-dec70 lots of memories, 114th, 175th, 7/1 cav, 611th transportation, 51st signal, and 292nd finance all units at vinh long.

My dad arrive din vietnam right after the tet offensive in 68.

He was with the 5th Special Forces Green Berets MACV-SOG 68-69.

My father was there. I think in 69 or 70.
