@yum: I'd agree that there are customizers out there that can fabricate better than George, but as far as the look, the original features, the visual flair added to the vehicle in a medium (movies and tv) that demands visual flair, I have to say that George belongs in any discussion of the "best" of his ilk. Yes, there were better upholsterers out there in 1965...but how many of them were doing ejector seats? There were better fabricators, but how many were doing oil slicks and jet engines?

He is by far not the king.. His cars look good on camera and few look good in real life and I have seen most of them. Most are just hacked up and parts crudly put together from other cars ,not very much original fabrication involved, their are many other custom car builders that should be concidered the king and were real artist that did a way better job . Take a close look at Roths and Jefferys etc. cars and they are real customs.
