Can someone explain this to me please, it would mean a lot:

"Don’t concern yourself too much with how you are going to achieve your goal – leave that completely to a power greater than yourself. All you have to do is know where you’re going. The answers will come to you of their own accord, and at the right time."

It's a beautiful statement, yet it seems so counterproductive. I would love to be 'converted' to living my life this way but i feel like i'd become a bum!

In general terms I would say it means that you shouldn't worry and fret over the minutiae of how you are going to achieve your goal, just have the destination fixed in your mind and be open to any opportunities that come your way and if they don't, then create them yourself. You have to have realistic goals, so for example if you're a singer then wanting to be bigger than, Madonna, is unrealistic, but wanting to make a brilliant record that launches your careerer is achievable.

I don't think any musician that wants to become a "big name" will achieve their goal. Its the people who truly enjoy doing what they do that are the people who become great.

    Thank you for the reply.

I think then that hypothetically, if someone achieved the goal of 'making a brilliant record to launch a career' then the next logical goal would be 'to become a big name' etc
