i just wish people would make such a fuss every time a negligent company causes somebody to get killed - unfortunately consumers are too busy with compensation claims for replacable materialistic matters.

@hudson501 so you mean customers should just shut up and not complain because they might have an adverse effect on the company? Huh? Back to Business and Customer Service 101 for you.

Thousands of people trying to get jobs and those sons of bitches don't appreciate theirs enough to treat someone's instrument with due care.

United Guitars.

@hudson501 Wow, one single Canadian song writer takes United under! Or could it possibly be mismanagement during poor economic times perhaps? :)

The fact of the matter is that ANYONE can screw up, which United Airlines did when they damaged Dave Carroll's guitar. However, their really big mistake came in their dealings with Mr. Carroll afterward. They should have at least been a little more civil to him, rather than trying to brush him off at every opportunity.
Word has it United Airlines stock dropped a lot after Daves video release and it was equivalent to a 10 million dollar loss in value on the NYSE. They should've just paid him the 3200.00 for a new Taylor. Obviously United acted in poor faith and Dave put things right via the internet. My Ovation guitar is in a Ovation hard shell case and it can take a beating. In Hawaii I saw it thrown 50 feet thru the air and no damage. I was lucky. Dave your song speaks for all of us.

It's been said lately that United Airlines could be on the verge of "going under". Wouldn't it be interesting if Dave Carroll's "United Breaks Guitars" is what ultimately leads to UAL's demise while at the same time making his career.
