  • Great video, you made it look easy. Can you please tell me, don't you need to balance the wheel everytime you put a new tire on?

    Thanks

  • @josephguvnor I only balance my sport bike tires. Never balance knobbies or even the tourances on my GS. I just make sure the red dot is near the valve stem and go with it. Never had a problem.

  • Good info!! Thanks for posting :)

  • nice video , you need to teach a little bit more about f 1200 gs because you have a lots of experience thank you for the video ...

  • Terriffic video! What about balancing the mounted tire with weights or do you generally ride without?

  • amigo es excelente lo que nos enseñas. en Colombia la mayoría de personas pagan para que les reparen la moto y nadie le enseña a uno a mantenerlas en buen estado.

  • ...the heck? That had to be the quickest tire change in the history of tires. Even with three levers, I had a hell of a time getting the tire on and off my SV.

  • Thank you, good luck on your adventuretrips !!!

  • Great video, what tire spoons are you using? Lot of good tips, really like the kickstand method of breaking bead! AWESOME

  • @jupejupes Oh protip: In trying to get the last little bit of tire onto the wheel (4:06) , if 180 degrees around the tire is on the bead seat, there's no chance of getting the last little bit on. Notice nowhere on bill's tire is it seated on wheel. Try to get as much of the tire towards the center and into the dip between both bead seats. If you do that, it's literally 3 spoonings. Otherwise, you'll rip the rubber and the tire's cords and the tire still won't pop on.

  • How the heck? 3 spoonings and your tire is on!? OK. back to the garage. Lemme try some more.
