The small bell you hear is the clock bell of Loughborough Town Hall striking in the distance, and I think the carilloneur is marking the hour just before starting her recital, as I doubt the Carillon tower has a clock.

This tower and carillon exist as a memorial to citizens of Loughborough who died in war. Have a look at the rather good carillon website at http://www.loughboroughcarillon.com/about-loughborough-carillon/

    The bell they used was one cast specially for them.

  • She allways starts with that, i think she said its just to inform people shes going to start.
