New Vision Medical Careers
New Vision Medical Careers provides high school seniors with a unique opportunity to experience the medical field first hand. During the school year, students combine four internships with academic classes at Rochester General Hospital or St. Ann's Community.
Students earn 1 credit in English, .5 in Participation in Government and .5 in Economics, and 3 credits in Career Explorations. These courses integrate academics into the health care environment.
New Vision Medical Careers helps you explore a full array of health-related career opportunities and work in entry-level to professional/technical level positions. Students develop competencies useful in a wide range of medical careers by applying academic knowledge and skills to health-related tasks and problems. Students become certified through the American Heart Association for CPR and AED.
