Self-proclaimed prophet arrested Norfolk, VA - Prophet Simon Moore Jr

Police have arrested the man they say was using religion to rip people off in several Southside cities.
Simon Moore was taken into custody around 4:30 Thursday afternoon at the Burger King at Tidewater Drive and Va. Beach Blvd.
Police spokesman, Chis Amos said that Moore was attempting to scam yet another victim. The woman had seen the Wednesday news reports about Moore and contacted police.
Arrangements were made for her to meet Moore at the Burger King. When Moore he found officers there waiting for him. He tried to run but officers arrested him after a short foot pursuit.
Police said that the victim would pursue charges against Moore in the neighboring jurisdiction where he approached her.
Moore is accused of targeting women and would often present himself as being a "prophet" or "holy man."
