Dwarf Fortress Video Tutorial 2010 part 08-Bonus - Elven Massacre

It's 2010, and there is a new version of dwarf fortress out.

Part 08-bonus:In this episode i continue to show the slaughter of elves by demons from hell, that i started in part 08.

I'm playing the game with tilesets and graphics because it makes the game make much more sense.

How'd you move in next to elves? Every time I try moving next to another civilization, it just says I can't embark.

The demons in Dwarf Fortress (and other ASCII games) look like ampersands (&) because '&' is known as the 'daemon symbol' on Unix computers. This is because '&' starts background-processes on Unix - which are called 'daemons'... because demons did boring repetitive tasks for ancient Greek Gods.

when you unlease hell and your fortress gets fucked, if you go into adventure mode, isent the world fucked? or just that reigion? can demons swim?
