My boyfriend and I stayed at the Goldener Griff (fabulous old hotel in the old town) and skied the "safari" the first day. It was great! I'm an expert and Ty was an intermediate (2003) then. We loved the place, the valley, the variety and the township. Trains to other nearby attractions are also a plus.
@wippermannl To be honest, the connection between lifts isn't really bad at all! I live in Kitz so I should know! There are some flat sections so for boarders it's not the best area in the world, although once you know where the flat areas are, all boarders of a relative standard can cope without too many worries. With regards Hahnenkamm, it's not a piste - it's a ski route which is why they don't piste it - and if your an 'expert' skier you should be able to cope with an unpisted, mogul route.
