@michael72986 yep you're right..they do provide some sort of rf screening but IMO doesn't really produce an appreciable difference..sorry for the "bling"..anyway each to his own bro :)

how do you setup your pots (front and rear pickup, etc..) to get that tone? and what type of string do you use?

@fela001 Actually, it can change the sound of the pickup. Put a metal shield over a magnetic field and something's gonna change.

And don't use the world "bling" ever again.

Whats the function for the metal band that sits over the strings? I've only noticed that in a few bass guitars I've seen and was just curious what it was and what it does?
