Speaker: Mahmoud Masri (الشيخ محمود المصرى)
Topic: Al-Salam 98 ferry (السلام 98)

The sheikh once talked about passengers from the ship (Al-Salam 98) who spent 48 hours in the water. One day he was approached by a woman who mentioned to him her story.

The ship departed from Duba, Saudi Arabia and was on its way to Safaga, Eygpt (Southern Eygpt) a distance of only 100 km only 388 passengers were rescued and over 1300 confirmed deaths.

Majority of the individuals were Eygptian workers returning back home, while some of them were also pilgrims (Hajjis) who were coming back after completing Hajj.

O Allah make us always happy with Your Decree and give us a good end in our life!

  • if u was in the sea for 48 hours how on earth would you pray? subhanallah theres no way

  • @MrNoorize - praying isnt a burden, its directly asking Allah for his help. I think its more accurate to say ''how on earth would you not pray''?

  • @mohammadzafar i mean the 5 daily prayers how would u pray them

  • @MrNoorize - yes brother, i knew what you meant. The Prophet (SAW) used to say "The Coolness of My Eyes Lies in Salah". If you cant stand and pray, you can sit and pray. If your body is paralyzed, you can simply move your eyes and pray. Some ppl im sure during the incident never hesitated to offer their salah. Salah is probably the best form of prayer..hope u got what i meant.
