lower your weight and slow your rep cadence and stop resting at the top too much. don't get me wrong excellent effort dude worry about the form and quality of contraction rather than weight! keep at it trooper!

Chuk with all your copious volume training how is it that you find the time to troll HIT videos all day long?

I suggest you delete the squat part of the vid as you look like you know whats needed on the pulldown but the squat footage gives a bad first impression.
I just started back on HIT and know it can be hard to hit the right cadence on some movements but they are the ones not to post untill your getting it right.

I thought you did fine. The information I see people spouting off in the comments, it's untrue. It's fine to pause for a second at the top of the squat, and you don't do a 4-2-4 cadence with squats; you simply keep the wait under total control, which you did. About the only criticism I have, and I mean it to be constructive, is that I think you could've gone slightly lower on squats. For the future, you should find a Smith machine with safety catches so you can go to failure with no fear.

maybe it is to him, its not the amount of weight its the intensity

This is not Heavy Duty man!!!

This routin is pointless to you! you are not advanced and should stuck to the first regular routin with more exercises and learn to increas the level of intensity first. That will takes a few years, if not longer. Then if you have learn to train so hard in every way the intensity is so high you will notice a "barrier" in your training and starting to hit the point of overtraining. Then its time to move on to this routin.
Otherwise you cant handle the weights.

Has anyone made any substantial gains using a Mentzer consolidation program? Anyone? I do a Baye style HIT program - split with workout every 5 days.

@effinty Correct.
that squat was too heavy for you dude, the best advice I was given was to check my ego at the door when I get to the gym and focus on form instead of how much I can lift...I get much better visual results now. Don't stop at the top of the squat, keep a steady tempo of slow and controlled.

Your correct Achillesreborn the weight was too heavy for me in the vid. These days I use a simple piece of equipment called the quad blaster as an alternative to squats. No back is involved and I must say its very intense. Anyone who is interested have a look on Youtube.
