Now that they are World Cup Champions, yes, she is one of the most famous players of the Nadeshiko Japan team. She scored 2 goals, and the 2nd one was in the Final.
I was thinking that she might be the MVP of the World Cup, if not Sawa Homare, the captain who was granted the MVP and Golden Shoes(most goals) trophy.
