Never managed to get a tailgate lining off one off these without something breaking, the most brittle cheap plastic known to man.

All of my wifes actuators went out on her 2003 at about 100,000. Thanks for the video. Now to work.

when the actuator went out, did the power locks stop working? My tailgate won't open with the key but the power locks still work and i'm wondering if it might be the same thing.

Yeah, basically the keyfob and the driver's door switch stop working on the tailgate. The only way to unlock/lock the door is by using a key when the actuator goes out.
