Ezio Pinza was a great bass singer, whose extended voice allowed him to make almost all the papers devoted to the basses, both those for deep basses and those for lyric basses. He even sang Escamillo in Carmen, a role that also can be represented by a baritone.
This recording of Pinza is very special, and the lyricism is incredible. Thank you for posting this, as it has been a long time since I last heard this recording and it is nice to be reminded of how great this version is; a masterpiece.

Ezio Pinza's Italian version is comparable to Alexander Kipnis' German and Pol Plancon's French recordings. One of the truly masterful bassos. Thanks for sharing!
