@avragehuman I read a great article on that (yesthetruthhurts) where you take five vampires all with Light. Their spells are at +1S for every other Light Wizard within 12". Rough calculation puts that at 1200 points just for those five models.

for martching with undead you can march if you are within 12 of general or 6 of anything with the vampire rule.

here are a few remarks on rules and pages (some already mentioned by others):

- skirmishers have to rank up with an aprox. 0.5 inch gap in between. p.77

- if you fail to roll high enough to cast a spell that caster can't cast another spell in the same phase p.32

- you would have to roll "look out sir" for the vampire p.99 + 93
