Did you know that over 100,000 guinea pigs can't find homes and must be put to sleep every year? If you're going to breed, please be sure you have good homes picked out (with responsible, experienced guinea pig owners) before hand. Spread the word ... we don't want to encourage guinea pigs to breed like bunnies 'cause it's just too sad :-( (And did you know, over a million bunny rabbits are put to sleep each year too?)

@MyGuineaPigChico : I know that sounds horrible but that´s exactly what we have to do! As long as people buy piggys in a pet store they will breed more to earn more money! But if no one buys a piggy there they have no reason to breed! Besides the most of these breeders don´t care about genetics and that´s why a lot of these piggys die very young! I have made my own experience with that! :´(
