I hate how Black swan so shamelessly ripped this off.
-
Excuse-me, Who are you?
-
@shedog100 No such thing as too much rape.
@DavidSeth2 Don't forget the first Evil Dead film!
-
@shedog100 It really was, but a major portion of the film depends on the severity of that scene. Other films that come to mind with similar scenes: Irreversible, I Spit on Your Grave, Last House on the Left, and Cannibal Holocaust.

@The9226192 ya the rape seen was a bit much wasnt it

@tatertots725 Samurai X: The Motion Picture, Ninja Scroll, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, and maybe Spriggan. I liked Spriggan a lot, but I seem to be the only one. Also maybe you should check out some anime series, such as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex or Elfen Lied. But don't take my word for it. Check out reviews from places like themanime. org or anime-planet. com I like Anime Planet because there are lots of recommendations for almost all anime genres.

@DavidSeth2 oh and consequently, any "good" anime like the kill bill anime segment?
-
@DavidSeth2 thanks man I'll start checking them out. I also should tell you (even though I'm sure a man of your anime knowledge knows about them already) that I recently discovered 2 awesome series called Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. They're sooo great! Any other cool shows like those 2?
-
If you liked Black Swan then this is basically the same except this was made long before.

@tatertots725 I didnt hate Paprika, but it certainly wasnt one of my favorites from Satoshi Kon. Here are a few of my personal favorites: Millennium Actress, Whisper of the Heart, Wings of Honneamise, Tokyo Godfathers, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Only Yesterday, Metropolis, Ghost in the Shell, 5 Centimeters per Second. I'm reluctant to recommend End of Evangelion, since it takes place after the series, but it's filled with so much WTF imagery that you may still like it.
Anyone who says Anime is only for children needs to have their heads examined.

Sadly, death is inevitable. While he was taken from his family and fans far too soon, it is something that we have to deal with. My only hope is that a few aspiring artists, whether animation or live action, will essentially follow in his foot steps and create hauntingly beautiful works in a similar fashion. Not so much as a direct copy cat, but someone who will take a similar approach to story telling in the visual medium.
