@Kozzy06 I'm sorry but I've listened to his recent concert recordings and his voice is still completely destroyed. He sounds like he's pinching his nostrils shut while singing.
Check out the 88 recording live at the ritz and you'll see what I mean.

Looked this up with a bad attitude then befor I hit play thought give it a chance halfway through I remeberd the reason I love GNR is Axls lyrics and vocals of course I love the original lineup waymore but this aint halfbad all bands change I bet youd all love this if slash played even though id be the same damn song

@Kozzy06 yes! just seen them in Indy a few days ago, he was amazing, vocals, energy..& the band too!

@badchicken30 Er...go and listen to the live tours in 2010 and 2011, and you will find that you are talking rubbish, and his voice is back to its near best.

While I miss Axls "Mr.Brownstone" style vocals, I've gotta admit I think he sounds fantastic on this song. I hear a bit of both Appetite (Rocketqueen) and Illusion (November Rain) coming through here, but I agree this entire album is far-removed from old GNR. In my opinion, this is the best song on the album.

This song is awesome, some people's musical taste just need to develop so they can appreciate different sounds, some genuinely don't like it. It could have been Lulu from Metallica hahahahaha.

@Kurki FINALLY a piece of intelligence in this world...

@365metal Oh I agree, November Rain is my favourite song of all time. Estranged comes a close second. But that doesn't mean these aren't great lyrics too. I love his reference to the book with 'how a body took a body', I think it's quite clever. He's a much better lyricist than almost anyone in the top 50 (most don't even write their own songs anyway) Shame he doesn't get the recognition :(

this song just makes me feel good. i dont no why

@Kurki Awesome album yes, worth a nearly 20yr wait.. sorry I can't go there. Glad to have it after that time, HELL YES!
As you said though, this is not the old GNR, this is GNR evolved, GNR with the youthful angst turned into more polished music, and damn is it great. I would have been disappointed had it just been like another AfD

Im 15 and im from this new generation that doesn't listen to this bullshit songs nowadays(justin bieber, disney shits...) . I know that this is not the same GNR from 87-93(sweet child o mine, paradise city, november rain, dont cry, welcome to the jungle, many more!) but i still can't name 5 albuns in the last 5 years better than chinese democracy. Just listen to it as if is another band, not the traditional guns, that you will have a great time with these great songs.
Sorry for the bad english
