A trip up Belmont Avenue, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Time was running a little short for me towards the end, so I was unable to go all the way to the end of this road. But I was close: I made it from the South End the Bamboo House restaurant on the other side of the "X".

  • I grew up on Euclid Ave. wow, the old L'll Peach, I deliveried newspapers in the area. I remember racing slot cars at "Richies hobby shop" good times :)

  • Other notable places that used to be on Belmont near the X: Dave's Superette (later Shumerhorn's Fish); KFC; the UFO Shop (a head shop) and on sumner, just east of the x in what is now Dollar Store, there used to be a place to race slot cars called "Richies Speed City"
