Another classic from the Family Foundation out of Manchester UK - IT'S NOT OVER. Taken from the 1992 release ONE BLOOD, this wicked track showed how the Family could switch between Rave, Dance, Ragga and Soul and still deliver a banger!

The Family Foundation were formed from singers, mc's and musicians from the inner city estates of Manchester. The press release at the time concentrated on the areas of Moss Side and Cheetham Hill as the main focus of the Family, as this is where the majority of the troubles of the late 80's and early 90's had come from, and partly where some of the insperation for the track GUNCHESTER came from, as South and North Manchester gangs were fighting for territory and profits, but the Family were from all over Manchester. The Family were Shine, Clifford, Kwame, Franschene, Robbie, Bobbie, Amanda, Little Matt and Rachel Mc Farlane. Rachel Mc Farlane has since gone on to lend her vocals to many a dance track over the years working with Manchester outfit N'Trance and providing the vocal's to L.M.C.'s "Take you to the clouds above", are just two examples. The mini album, ONE BLOOD was released in 1992 and had just 7 tracks, one of which was an interview/track, so call it 6 really. It was also engineered in part by my good friend XTC a.k.a. Mark, legend of Drum and Bass in Manchester for the past 20 years plus. But those 6 tracks are so special to some, i just had to upload them. I have seen this album on the net for sale at £60+ so this is well sought after. A true classic EP! The Family's previous single release, "Express Yourself", i have not uploaded, as it can already be found on other peoples channels.
