Charcoal Wood ! This project has been happening across from my house in Sagay City, downtown. I have been watching this project since Sunday. The smoke filled the whole block. I knew what they were doing. Making charcoal wood. It's used here for cooking and inside irons for ironing clothes among other things. It sells for about 300 pesos ($7.00 USD) for a 50kls bag. Your will be able to cook for about a year with 50kls. The simple life here is mostly because people don't make a lot of money. They do what they can to make ends meet. Enjoy !

  • Thanks for your input. Papa did carcoal wood for a long time. Now them just cook with wood for the fire. Thanks for the tree info too.

  • I'm wondering if that tree grows back to use again.

  • so Pop, what about your house you are having built. I saw the video on the guy cutting boards from a tree that was cut down. How is it coming along?? are you going to make a video of it, I'd be interested to see how it came out. :)

  • I did try this in small quantity. He needs to watch it 24/7, otherwise one small hole on top will turn all the wood inside into ashes. I like the smell too. after while the smell stays on the ground..

Usually the tree grows back. Unless cut very short to the trunk.
